Sayulita hiking experiences are available from October to May. Trails are closed during the rainy season for safety reasons.

Considerations: This hike is moderately challenging, as you'll navigate hilly terrain. It is not recommended for guests with heart conditions, pregnant women, or people recovering from injuries.

How it works

‍

The hike begins at a starting point about 20 minutes from Sayulita. You can make your own way there, or ask our concierge staff to arrange transportation. You'll receive instructions on where and when to meet your tour guide well in advance.

Your Nayarit Coast hiking experience exits from either Higuera Blanca or the Sayulita side of the trail network. If you'd like return transportation back to Sayulita or the hotel, we can also set that up for you.

What to bring

For a safe and comfortable Sayulita hiking experience, we recommend that you bring:

• Closed hiking, running, or tennis shoes
• Plenty of drinking water
• Mosquito repellent (organic if possible)
• Sunblock or sunscreen
• Waterproof protectors for your electronic devices
